The 36,000 Foot View
Throughout the past year we deployed a number of new features in Revolution Online to help our users get the most out of our application. As I reflect on the prior year, I am continually amazed at how much work everyone does. In addition to releasing the new User Interface in 2016 – the ROI Machine (staff) completed a staggering number of requests – data extracts, programming, and feature enhancements: 3,448 to be exact. Users like you ran 93,475 reports and processed 36,983 uploads, appending hundreds of thousands of records/attributes into your respective database domains. With nearly a million end-user logins (that’s nearly 450 logins per work hour!) – our client usage continues to grow, as does our ability to meet the demands of this ever-changing world. That’s important to me.
As I write this, I am 36,000 feet in the air. I remember the first time I connected to a Revolution Online database from an airplane. 1999. Back then it was a little clunky (it involved a modem) and trust me – much slower! but thrilling none-the-less. I remember the first time one of our users let us know that he did the same: Josh was heading from DC to LA and had no time to get an update on event registrations. Needless to say, he was thrilled to login to ROI/Revolution Online on his flight. Today, that ability is a given. Our connectivity and ‘always on’ and a never ending stream of information requires increased demands on our ability to be awesome. We have to be both smarter and more strategic to break through the constant bombardment of information our constituents receive every minute. It is crucial for you to have a comprehensive CRM and a willing, able, and ready partner to make the most of it.
