Software Analyst
Peter Martin joined ROI Solutions in May 2011.
Peter spent over 10 years at EMC Corporation working as a software quality engineer. While At EMC he was responsible for testing the company's storage software products which ranged from Java-based enterprise applications to filesystem and I/O kernel-level drivers. His duties included configuring test hardware, writing test plans and executing test cases, meeting with developers to triage reported defects, and verifying submitted fixes. He wrote automation test scripts using Perl and WinRunner and also gained his first exposure to relational databases, and Oracle in particular, when he was tasked with conducting performance benchmarks tests against an EMC volume manager product.
Peter holds a BSEE from Northeastern University and recently supplemented his education through web software courses at Harvard Extension School which enabled him to work over the past year as a web developer before coming to ROI.
In his spare time Peter enjoys cycling and skiing and hopes to continue improving on the bass so he'll be able sit in with the company band sometime.
