B-but what if it's NOT a
duplicate?
As you know from last month's
features update, we've streamlined the process of identifying, reviewing,
and marking duplicates to such an amazing extent it's almost like you can
just snap your fingers and it's done. Maybe you've gone on a
de-dupe spree and are scraping the bottom of the barrel with almost no
duplicates left. There's just a few names
left but... oops! Our algorithms have failed us! We've
incorrectly identified two people as possible duplicates!
Well, here's what you can
do. Start with you usual possible dupe screen, seen here:
Suppose, innocently, the list
says it thinks "Arthur Jr." (marked "primary" above) is the same person as "Dr.
Arthur." (You're familiar with that whole "kids moving
back home" thing, right?)
Well, we're much smarter than any
algorithm: we know better. And NOW we can tell the list all about it.
The duplicate-processing list contains a new column and new button:
As you can see, in addition to
identifying duplicates, which we will merge if you mark them, you can now
identify NON-DUPLICATES, which we will mark and never bug you about
again! You can even mark that an account is not a duplicate of
multiple accounts at once!
