Duplicates - Duplicates (Echo - Echo)

The age old question: if a duplicate exists on your file, and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound? Well, it does now - in fact it SCREAMS, if not audibly, then at least in SPEED and performance. Using the new high performance duplicate detector within the Revolution On-Line "Tools" menu, you can find your suspected dupes and do something about them right through the application. Go to the Tools menu, select one of the possible dupe functions to display your list of suspected duplicates.

Find and merge duplicates

By clicking the hyperlinked ROI ID you can do a number of things in the pop-up window, seen below.

Merge accounts pop-up window

You can choose among dupe matching algorithms by making a choice from the pull down in the top right corner. You can identify which account should be the primary (the account that will stick around when the dust clears). And you can identify multiple accounts that will be marked as duplicates so their details (such as pledges, payments, contacts, memberships, et cetera) will all be merged into the primary account.

Multi-Year Prospecting

Now you can do instantaneous ad-hoc queries identifying donors by their multi-year donation history. To use the new query function, go to the "MG Console" tab and in the prospecting section you'll see a "multi year" command. When you click it, you'll get an input form that looks something like this...

Multi-year query screen

Using the on-screen widgets you can:

  • Choose to include or exclude any group of account classes, account statuses, member types, and (if you have pledges) pledge types from the selection.
  • Choose whether or not you want to pay attention to the "do not contact" setting on the individual household member accounts (to exclude the account from your results).
  • Identify up to 10 account flags to include or exclude accounts from your results.
  • Define up to 10 flexible time periods, and identify a donation dollar range you are looking for within each period.
  • Choose to include or exclude donations to source codes from any group of promotion codes, source types, and contact types.

Once you've made your selections and click the "find donors" button the results will be returned, as you can see below.

Did You Know?

It's true, you can use a Nintendo Wii to access your ROI Revolution On-Line Database. Not sure WHY you'd want to do that, but you can! Proving once again, your ROI database IS fun and games!
