Zip-it... Zip-it Good.
People have been pulling some
mighty large files out of Revolution On-Line recently, which got us
thinking, "hmm... How can we be sure all these files get
delivered to our clients?" Like most of our best ideas, the
inspiration came to us through the old Devo song, but don't whip it, zip it! The result? Any asynchronous
query with an output larger than 2 Megabytes will have the results
automatically compressed into a .zip file before it's emailed.

Changes to Batch Input
To
improve data reliability and integrity we have stiffened up the process
for locking a batch. If the current user has made changes to any
input fields during an editing session, they will not be able to
"lock" the current batch. The new process will require
the user to save changes, re-open the batch to perform the required
checks, then lock the batch. (Trust us, it's for your own good.)

New Report Export Format
Tab is not just for drinking
anymore... Nor is it an annoying key on your keyboard. Now,
Revolution On-Line users can choose to output your report data in raw
TAB-delimited format in addition to PDF, Excel, and Word, which were
already available.
And yes, Tab, the Totally Awesome
Beverage you used to love, is still available. Swing by the ROI
office and have one on us...
